Welcome to AP US Government at PHS and to your senior year of high school!
This class is designed to be a introductory college level course of Unites States government and politics. Though it will prepare you to take the AP exam in May, it also serves to built your knowledge of and passion towards the American government system.
This section of the blog gives students the main information for the class. It holds major documents and introductory information on the class. The posts however, shown on the right side of the screen, reflect daily and weekly updates on homework, announcements and classwork. Check this “AP US Government Updates” frequently.
Green Sheet: The green sheet explains how the class is set-up, the expectations, and serves as a contract for the class. Required Materials:
1. A three ring binder or a section in a three ring binder for this class for notes, handouts, etc.
2. Two different colored pens for writing
3. Two different colored highlighters
4. At least two #2 pencils (mechanical are great)
5. Colored pencils and/or markers-color can always enhance learning
6. School planner- Either the PHS version or one that is specifically for writing down homework assignments in all classes.
7. A portable hole punch (suggested but note required)
